We want you to be able to trust what you read here. This page explains the rules we follow.
Sources and verification
We prefer primary sources: official announcements, data from public bodies, published research and documents available for inspection. When information comes from only one source or has not yet been verified, we say so in the article.
Updates
When new information changes the picture, we update the article. The last updated date appears at the top of the article, beside its publication date.
Correcting errors
Factual errors are corrected as quickly as possible. When a correction is substantial, we state in the article what was corrected. You can report an error through our contact page.
Sponsored content
An article published in exchange for payment will be clearly labeled "Sponsored content" at the top of the page. Such content is not presented as a regular editorial article.
Images and illustrations
Most images on the site are illustrations only and do not document the events described. When an actual photograph appears, its source will be stated.
General information only
Articles on health, legal and financial matters are intended as general information. They do not constitute personal advice, and you should consult a professional before making a decision.
